What is the ARCC?

The Annapolis Republican Central Committee (ARCC) is a creation of Annapolis City Code (see Title 4).  The committee serves the interests of the municipality by making certain political appointments on behalf of the Republican Party for the city.  However, the ARCC has grown beyond its original, narrowly-defined purpose and now serves as a managing arm of the GOP here in Annapolis.

A set of Bylaws was created in 1977 ( last updated in 2000) to provide specified objectives for the ARCC that are in line with those of the Anne Arundel County GOP Central Committee.

The ARCC has nine elected or appointed members -- one representative for each of the eight Wards of the city, and one at-large representative for the entire city -- mirroring the City Council, with its eight Aldermen and Mayor
